Areas We Visit

1

EGMONT KEY ISLAND AND EGMONT KEY STATE PARK

Located at the mouth of Tampa Bay, Egmont Key is an inhabited island accessible only by boat. The island served as a camp for captured Seminoles during the Third Seminole War before becoming a Union Navy base during the Civil War. The island is now part of the National Wildlife Refuge and has white sand beaches with crystal waters. This area is a great place to find sharks' teeth, seashells, and other fun treasures. You will also be able to explore Fort Dade, which was established in 1899 to prevent pirate attacks, but also the island's lighthouse built later in 1958. Battery Burschted is another attraction of the island where you can find some abandoned canons.

2

FORT DE SOTO PARK

Located on a sandbar peninsula northwest of Egmont Key Island, Fort De Soto Park features beaches, wetlands, mangroves, and wildlife. The park has become a habitat for diverse species such as pelicans, other birds, dolphins, and manatees. We will stop at its fort called Fort De Soto where you can climb the battlements and enjoy a panoramic views. If you love history, you'll find plenty of it at the fort. It has served multiple roles in the United States' defense throughout its history, including as an ammunition depot during World War II.

3

NAVIGATE THROUGH THE INTERCOSTAL WATERWAY

The intercostal waterway is north of Tampa bay and is the water between the mainland and outer barrier islands that form the beaches from pass a grill beach treasure island beach all the way north to clearwater and beyond. besides the skyway in Tampa bay another impressive bridge you'll see on the boat tour is the Pinellas Bayway Bridge. The bridge has become an icon for St Petersburg's skyline. The bridge spans across the intercostal water way, offering stunning views of the entire city. It is the perfect place to snap a picture of the breathtaking sunset. Indeed, Florida is known for its spectacular sunsets, so don't miss out!
