What Kind of fish can we catch?
We target a range of species like Grouper, Snapper, Hogfish, Kingfish, Amberjack, Sharks and African pompano.We love the adventure and sense of detail that it takes to catch large trophy fish!
Can we keep the fish that we catch?
Yes, all fish will be cleaned filleted and bagged for you to take home.
Do I need a fishing License?
You do not need a fishing license. We provide all necessary permits, rod & reels, bait, and all necessary tackle. Just show up ready to have a great time!
What do I need to bring with me?
Any food or drinks you would like(please no glass bottles) hat, sunglasses, towel, sunscreen, and clothes that you are okay with fishing in.
Its my first time fishing but am eager to learn is that ok?
Yes absolutely, we love educating new people on the sport! We will not only show you a great time but will guide you on the best practices of an angler.

We are located at the southern tip of St Petersburg at O'Neill's Marina in FL. 6701 34 St S St Petersburg, FL 33710
What happens if the weather is bad?
We will work with you to reschedule or refund your deposit if necessary.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations need to be done 2 weeks in advance to give us time to rebook that opening.
How many people can the boat accommodate?
The Reel Coquina Boat can accomodate 4 anglers comfortably.
What does the Reel Coquina Crew specialize in?
The Reel Coquina Fishing Charter specialize in a range of things but our favorites are vertical jigging deep springs and wrecks and targeting exotic species such as African Pompano. We also specialize in targeting Kingfish in the spring and fall while they are migrating up and down the coast, and Hogfish in the winter while they spawn.
How can I pay for my fishing charter and is there a down payment required to book?
We accept Venmo, Paypal, square, cash, or check. We require a $250 deposit to book your trip with us.
When do I pay for my charter.
Your payment will be due at the end of your charter.
Should I tip my crew at the end?
A 20% tip is standard. Your crew puts a lot of time and effort in preparation and clean up in order to provide you with the highest level tour. If you enjoyed your charter please let them know by leaving an appropriate tip!
