DEEP SEA FISHING VS INSHORE FISHING AROUND SOUTH PASADENA

Trying to decide between deep-sea fishing and inshore fishing for your next South Pasadena fishing adventure? Both have their perks, but if you’re chasing bigger thrills, more variety, and the kind of stories that last a lifetime, a Reel Coquina offshore fishing trip might be exactly what you’re after.

Deep Sea Fishing: Go Big or Go Home

  • When you join one of our deep-sea fishing charters, you’ll cruise far past the shore, sometimes up to 60 miles out into the Gulf of Mexico. Here’s why offshore is the real deal:

  • Less Boat Traffic – Fewer crowds mean more room to fish and more chances to hook rare, powerful species.
  • Trophy Fish – Out here, you’ll find red snapper, grouper, cobia, tuna, and shark species that don’t hang around the docks.
  • Scenic Vibes – Endless ocean, salty air, dolphin sightings, and skies that stretch for miles, it’s Florida at its finest.
  • Top-Notch Boats – Our vessels are powered by twin 200 Yamahas and packed with high-end gear, safety equipment, and live bait, ready for action.

Inshore Fishing: Calm Waters, Quick Action

Stay closer to shore and explore the grass flats, mangroves, and channels near South Pasadena. Calm waters and steady action make this ideal for beginners and families.

  • Flexible Scheduling – Ideal for half-day trips, casual outings, or when you want to get on the water without spending a full day at sea.
  • Popular Coastal Species – Fish for snook, Spanish mackerel, mangrove snapper, and tarpon without leaving the view of South Pasadena beaches.
  • Smooth Waters – Less rocking, calmer rides, perfect for younger anglers or those prone to motion sickness.

No matter your pick, each fishing charter is led by a licensed, experienced captain who knows exactly where to go and how to help you catch fish. You're in good hands whether it’s your first time or your hundredth.

Here are some reviews from clients who have experienced exceptional fishing adventures with Reel Coquina:

"I’m new to this fishing area. I hired Pablo to take me out in my boat and provide some guidance for the area and tips on hunting down hogfish. He was a fantastic guide and captain. I would highly recommend him to anyone. We had a stellar day!! See you again soon."

Jeff A

"The fishing itself was amazing and almost every spot Captain Pablo put us on was fantastic. However, what made the trip for me was the amount of work, knowledge, and enthusiasm Capt. Pablo provided through every second of the trip. It’s hard to find Captains that are willing to let people focus on learning the process and experimenting with different fishing styles, while still ensuring the entire boat catches fish. But Captain Pablo was able to do this with ease. It’s great knowing that a fantastic Captain like him is around and I’m looking forward to the next trip!"

Chris G

"Went out yesterday with Capt. Pablo on a jigging-only trip, and by incorporating a few of his recommendations, I landed my first African Pompano! He is a sharp, funny, and friendly guy, but also an extremely technical fisherman. Incredible day. Highly recommended 100%"
